User Notice for Safety Button Our records show that your account includes the Migrafill Safety Button feature, powered by Alarm.com, which enables the automatic sharing of your precise location data and the dispatch of emergency services to your location when a safety alert is activated. A safety alert is activated when the Safety Button is pressed and released, and the safety alert is not canceled by you within 10 seconds. If a safety alert is received, each of Alarm.com, your authorized service provider, emergency responders, and/or Migrafill’s Monitoring station may access, monitor, record, process, and maintain information from your device (such as your precise geolocation data and Safety Button notes and emergency contacts in your account), or from any communication between you and Migrafill’s monitoring center operators when responding to the safety alert.
THE SAFETY BUTTON IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR CONTACTING EMERGENCY SERVICES DIRECTLY.
Enabling the Safety Button feature will not result in faster response times by emergency services.
This feature is only available for use in areas that are supported by your service provider and their remote monitoring center. Emergency services will not be dispatched outside of these areas.
Migrafill nor Alarm.com warrants that the Safety Button feature will be uninterrupted, accurate, error free, or reliable. This feature is dependent on cellular connection and may not work in areas outside the wireless service coverage area for the mobile device using the Safety Button or if the device and corresponding setting to allow for collection and sharing or location information are not enabled.
Safety Button Notes in your account may provide the operator with contextual details that will aid emergency services. All Information shared with emergency services may be stored as part of a public record associated with an emergency call if required by local statutes. You should only provide the information you want emergency responders to have access to in your text communications with the monitoring station or in the Safety Button notes in your account.
For data protection law purposes, your authorized service provider is the data controller for the collection, transmission, maintenance, processing, and use of such data. Migrafill and Alarm.com are the data processors of such data and will process the data in accordance with the instructions of the data controller and applicable data protection laws. Please review Alarm.com’s Privacy Policy for additional information. It is your own responsibility to ensure that your use of the Safety Button feature complies with applicable laws and regulations. More information with regard to the processing of your personal data and how to apply your data protection rights is available with your authorized service provider.
You can disable the Safety Button feature at any time by having the primary account owner go to the Safety Button card in the app, select Settings (the gear icon), select Manage Subscription, and then choose Disable.
